5th Episode of UX CORNER : Discussion on Semantic Relations (29 MAY 2015)
Every concept can be connected to be inspired from some or the other source. In turn the source could also be found to be inspired from some other phenomenon. Same is true in the field of human factors and design. Humans tend to behave or conceptualise a certain image based on their prior experience.
The event was run on a similar principle of Semantic Relations.
The activity of 'Name the Movie' was a connected source to map the participant's pre-concepts to certain words and they draw the same while trying to draw a hint for movie name.
This technique can be used to design appropriate icons in visual design.
